Overview
Kishkinda University is a state private university in Ballari, Karnataka, established in 2023 under Karnataka Act No. 20 of 2023, sponsored by the Tungabhadra Education, Health & Rural Development (TEHRD) Trust — locally known as the Basavarajeswari Group of Institutions. The university itself is brand new, but the trust behind it already runs 8 institutions from KG through postgraduate level, serving 11,000+ students and employing 800+ staff. KU is essentially the trust's flagship engineering/management college (built around BITM and Ballari Business College) newly elevated to university status. It offers UG, PG, and doctoral programs recognized by UGC and AIU.
